Just HAD to share with you all something that I discovered last night…

The Moschino Cheap & Chic RTW Fall 2010 parade!

I’m all for something a little different, and this show definitely did not fit the ordinary catwalk parade mould. Models, including Perth’s own Skye Stracke, hit the runway in a “just off the plane” type act. So adorable – and so refreshing to see something a little bit different. The fun little show definitely summed up what Moschino C&C is all about.

And on a side note, the appearance of Pixie Lott at the parade prompted me to post this photo of the uprising pop star...

So, a few styling tips inspired by my favourite looks at the parade:

BUY: Cargo Pants always have and always will hold a place in stylish people's wardrobes. When you're shopping, though, go for the more expensive looks (and possibly price tags) to avoid looking like you borrowed parts of a soldier's uniform.

BUY: A Boucle Jacket. A MUST for this season if you want to avoid the typical wintery jackets. Don't worry, you can still toughen up that look a little with assistance from some amazing biker boots...and lots of black of course!

TRY: Please, instead of dressing as a skank at the next dress-up party you go to, try a fashionable take on the whole "French Maid" look - I'm sure not all maids in France are sluts. Moschino Cheap & Chic backs up my argument quite nicely I think...

TRY: Sick of looking like every other person in your leather jacket? Why not try some Fashion DIY? Try attaching chains, studs, whatever! Guaranteed to make you stand out this Winter as a one of a kind DIY-diva.

TRY: Cocktail dresses. Mid-thigh to knee length. Worn by girls to nearly all events. Blah, blah blah. So bored of it. Try a cute (or not-so if you add some, in my opinion, ever-style-saving biker boots) vintage twist on cocktail events. Something pretty, not necessarily pink, and a fur stole - so adorable, and so stand-out!

BUY: Faux fur and lace. And some cream or white stockings. Chuck onto body and mix. Serves the most stylish of peeps. Can be stored in wardrobe for another day of wear.
